Starting Your Journey with Carolina WaterBirth

Stepping into motherhood is a beautiful, life-changing experience. At Carolina WaterBirth, we are honored to walk this path beside you, offering exceptional midwifery care that prioritizes the well-being of both you and your baby.

If you are exploring natural birth options in the Greenville or Simpsonville area, here is how to begin your journey with us.

When to Begin

We recommend starting your care as early as 6 weeks into your pregnancy. Connecting with us early allows us to build a relationship, understand your unique history, and tailor a care plan that truly supports your needs. It’s the perfect time to ask questions, settle your nerves, and set the stage for a confident birth experience.

Two Ways to Get Started

We know every family is different, so we offer two simple paths to initiate care:

  1. Schedule an Initial Visit: If you feel ready to secure your spot, you can book your first appointment directly through our website. This visit allows you to meet your midwife and officially begin your prenatal care.

  2. Join a "Meet-the-Midwife" Session: If you are still exploring your options or have specific questions, we invite you to attend one of our introductory sessions. It’s a wonderful, no-pressure way to learn about our philosophy and see if we are the right fit for your family.

Why Reserve Early?

Our spaces are limited and tend to fill quickly. Reserving your due date early ensures you have the support of our skilled team throughout your entire pregnancy. Early booking is also helpful if your dates are uncertain, allowing us to coordinate an early dating scan if needed.

Your First Visit: What to Expect

Your initial appointment is a time for us to get to know you. We focus on listening to your vision for birth and ensuring you feel empowered. During this visit, we will cover:

  • Health & Wellness: Initial health assessments (vitals and labs) and a review of your medical history.

  • Nutrition: Guidance on prenatal vitamins and healthy lifestyle choices.

  • Care Planning: Discussing your birth preferences and scheduling childbirth classes.

  • Resources: setting you up with our online Client Portal for easy access to our library and support team.

Birth is a journey of trial and struggle, of fear and joy, of pain and pleasure. Welcome to our village.
